Each client/student booking a Course or Service(s) with Azul School agrees to the following terms and conditions.
1.Definition
1.1Azul School
Azul School is a franchise network of language schools that directly provides or arranges complete language courses, language classes, accommodation, tourist activities, and transport services. Each Local Azul School is an entirely distinct company.
1.2 Service provider(s)
Some services may be provided by independent service providers these include, but are not limited to tour operator companies, transport companies, independent contractors and other service providers. Where applicable the service provider(s) are entirely responsible for the execution of their part of the contract.
1.3 Client(s)
The client is the individual or organization that books services with Azul School.
Paragraph 2: Booking and Registration
2.1 The Azul School booking and registration process is as follows:
a) The client selects their desired course using the online booking system or via direct communication with Azul School. It is the client’s responsibility to check that all details of their course are full and correct before submitting the course request forms online or emails to Azul School.
b) Payment of Standard Course deposit ($150USD) is made to Azul School online at the time of booking for whichever course the client books. For groups of people the $150USD Standard Course Deposit is per person.
c) Once an online course request form or email and Standard Course Deposit has been received from a client the relevant Local Azul School will contact the Client using the email address that the Client provided to confirm the booking.
d) Once the Client has received confirmation of their booking the contract between Azul School & the Client is finalized. The Client should carefully check all details in the confirmation email and ensure that they are correct – any error or omission should be reported to the Local Azul School email immediately.
Paragraph 3: Legal Basis
3.1 The contract and general conditions are subject to the English law. Any dispute will be settled in an English court of law.
Paragraph 4: Total Course Price & Payment
4.1 The total course price is the sum of the costs of the core course, additional courses, accommodation, meal options, premium activities airport transfers and any other extra services selected.
4.2 The total price of the course is the price per person, unless otherwise stated
4.3 To book a course the client has to pay the standard course deposit when they register. The standard course deposit is $150USD.
4.4 The Balance of the Total Course Price is the Total Course Price less the $150USD standard course deposit.
4.5 The Balance of the Total Course Price should be paid to the Local Azul School on the first day of the course.
4.6 For payment by bank transfer or credit card payments, the client must pay any fees imposed by the bank. Only the net amount received by the local Azul School will regarded as the payment.
Paragraph 5: Language course, accommodation and activity program
5.1 All Courses run in 1 week blocks. The first day of the client’s course will be that specified on the client’s registration confirmation. Classes and tuition are normally provided Monday to Friday. If the Client selected a weekend day or a public holiday as their start date then the course will start on the next available working day.
5.2 All Accommodation options run in 1 week blocks concurrently with the Client’s course. Should the Client require additional accommodations days or weeks without lessons before or after the Client’s course this will be at additional cost as outlined on our website. The Client should contact Azul School with details of any accommodation only periods that they require.
5.2 Generally there will be no classes on official holidays, any classes that fall on public holidays cannot be replaced. The local Azul School may decide to offer some other events on these days.
5.4 One hour of lessons means 50mins of tuition with a 10 minute allowance for breaks – unless otherwise stated.
5.3 Group Lessons are for 2 to 6 people (unless a special arrangement is made for a large private group). If there is not at least 1 other student available to take group lessons at a similar ability then the Client will automatically be given the same value of 1on1 lessons. For example 20 hours of group lessons has an equivalent value of 10 hours of 1on1 lessons.
5.4 The local Azul School Program Coordinator will set timetables of the lessons, and any activities.
5.5 Course materials and free cultural & social activities are included in the course price. The free cultural and social activities listed on the website are for indication only, the range and type of activities might vary and under certain exceptional circumstances there may be no organized activities available.
5.6 Premium activities are not included in the price and the Client should book these with their course separately when they arrive. Premium Activities are generally provided by Service Providers.
5.7 Special examination fees (for external examination organizations), airport transfers are not included unless specifically stated.
5.8 Persons under 18 years of age must have permission of a parent or legal guardian to take part in any Azul School service. The relevant forms must be signed by the parent or legal guardian prior to any course or service.
5.9 There is not prevision for replacing class time lost through client absence or lateness to classes.
Paragraph 6: Modification to the Contract by the Client
6.1 Once a contract has been finalized any modifications to the original contract are subject to availability feasibility at Azul School’s discretion.
6.2 Modifications to a course will generally be allowed up to 22 days prior to the course start date.
6.3 Modifications to a course less that 22 days before the course start date will be subject to availability and feasibility.
6.4 Once the contract has been finalized if the client requires to modify any details to the booking then there will be a $50USD administration charge for each change payable at the time of modification.
6.5 Modifications are not permitted after a course start date.
Paragraph 7: Cancellation of the Contract by the Client
7.1 Once a course has been finalized if the client requires to cancel a course they must make written or email notice of cancellation the Local Azul School.
7.2 The $150USD Standard Course deposit is non refundable. However if the client gives 22 days or more written or email notice before the start of the course then Azul School will normally allow the client to book another course during the same calendar year.
7.3 If the Client cancels a course they may still be liable for all or part of the total price of the course based on the period of written cancellation notice that they give Azul School before the course start date. In the case of cancellation, the client is obliged to pay the following cancellation fees. The cancellation fees are expressed as a percentage of the total course price:

7.4 In the event of non payment the Client will be liable for any and all Legal and Debt Collect costs
Paragraph 8: Modification by Azul School
8.1 Azul School reserves to right to modify a Clients course at any time for operational reasons.
8.2 Where this results in lesser services being provided to the Client Azul School will either: (a) offer additional services of the same or greater value or (b) refund price of the services which could not be provided.
Paragraph 9: Cancellation by Azul School
9.1 Azul School reserves the right to cancel any course at anytime before or after a start date. Where the cancelation of a course is not the fault of the Client – Azul School will refund the client for any services that have not already been provided at the time of cancellation.
9.2 Azul School will not accept any liability for any additional costs to the client as result of a cancelled course.
Paragraph 10: Homestays and Staying with a Local family
10.1 As part of their course the client may stay with local families for all or part of their course and certain behavior is required of the Client as they will be sharing a family’s home.
10.2 The Client must follow any rules specified by the landlord/landlady.
10.3 Should the Client lose a set of keys they will be required to pay for a replacement set.
10.4 The Client will be liable for any damage they cause to the local families home or belongings.
10.5 Substance abuse is not allowed in any Azul School Homestay – Any substance abuse will be result in the immediate termination of the Clients course, without any refund or compensation and the relevant authorities will be informed.
10.6 Substance abuse not allowed on any property at all associated with Azul school operations – Any substance abuse will be result in the immediate termination of the Clients course, without any refund or compensation and the relevant authorities will be informed
Paragraph 11: Student Residence
11.1 The client may stay at an Azul School Student Residence, Bed & Breakfast, Hotel or Hostel provided by Azul School directly or by a Service provider for all or part of their course and certain behavior is required of the Client as they will be sharing a family’s home.
11.2 The Client must follow any rules specified by the Local Azul School, or Service Provider.
11.3 Should the Client lose a set of keys - they will be required to pay for a replacement set.
11.4 The Client will be liable for any damage they cause to a service providers or property.
11.5 Substance abuse is not allowed in any Azul School Accommodation – Any substance abuse will be result in the immediate termination of the Clients course, without any refund or compensation and the relevant authorities will be informed.
11.6 The Client is not to engage in any illegal behavior while staying with at Azul School Accommodation.
Paragraph 12: Liability of the Client
12.1 The Client will be held liable for damage caused by illegal behavior.
12.2 Any Client who is disruptive to other clients learning experiences may be suspended or excluded from a course without any compensation.
12.3 Students are not covered for any illnesses, accidents, loss of personal property (neither at their accommodation nor in or out of the classroom). Azul School nor any service provider can be held responsible for any illnesses, accidents, loss of personal property. Students must to take out a full and relevant insurance policy to cover all risks, Azul School accepts no liability for any accidents illnesses or incidents which result in a loss to the Client, Service Provider or a 3rd Party.
Paragraph 13: Liability of Azul School
13.1 Azul School will not be held liable in any way for any illnesses, accidents, loss of personal property (This includes any incident at accommodation, in a classroom, in transportation, on an activity or excursion or anywhere else).
13.2 Any Client who is disruptive to other clients learning experiences may be suspended or excluded from a course without any compensation.
13.3 Azul School will not be held responsible any illnesses, accidents, loss of personal property to the Client.
13.4 Azul School will not be held responsible any illnesses, accidents, loss of personal property that the Client causes to a Service provider or any third party.
13.4 Azul School insists that each and every client takes out full and relevant insurance policies to cover all risks before commencing travel or starting an Azul School course.
13.5 For any failure, omission or lack of service or oversight on the part of Azul School the maximum liability to the Client shall under no circumstance exceed a full refund of monies already paid to Azul School by the Client.
